“Wonderful pet friendly experience”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2016

The barn exceeded expectations. It was a great space and very comfortable. Hot tub out back was clean and refreshing. The stream out back provided a nice atmosphere. My dog had a blast too!

“Fantastique!”

A wonderful place to stay. We couldn't imagine a better refuge from city stress than this beautiful cottage. Not just close to nature, live in nature but in a cozy yet beautifully designed interior. The owner is fantastic and made us, our kids and our dogs very welcome.

“Perfect weekend getaway!”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2015

I surprised my husband for his birthday with a weekend getaway of hiking and relaxation to this beautiful barn and it exceeded our expectations. We took our two puppies and they loved it as well. The property is beautiful and clean inside and out. It is cozy, inviting and has everything you need for a great and comfortable stay. The bed is perfect! We normally don't sleep well the first night away from home, but slept great at the Barn. The hiking trails around are terrific and coming back to some delicious grilling and the hot tub was the best! Mirav is very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to returning. “Perfect!”

Couldn't have asked for a better experience....the barn gets so much light that even on a grey day it felt cheerful and bright. Lovely decorating inside and everything to make us feel right at home. The hammock and hot-tub right by the creek were wonderful. We hadn't realized it was right by the owner's house, but it still felt very private. It was a quick drive to Woodstock and Phoenicia while still being out in the woods away from it all. Mirav was very helpful, leaving us great instructions and tips for the area. We can't wait to come back!

“Lovely stay”

Reviewed 17 Nov 2014

The cottage was clean and had a lovely décor. The landlord was quick to send directions and all the information we needed shortly after receiving our deposit. Directions were well written and accurate, and there is a great informational binder on what to see and do when you arrive. You do have to put the heater on considerably high in the colder months to get a comfortable feeling but the heater works fairly quickly. There is a third bedroom on the upper level of a spiral staircase. I do not know how warm it was up there as I slept on the main floor. The main bed's bedsheets are super soft! I give special thanks to this landowner for allowing us to bring our dog with no questions asked. I only initially wrote that he was medium sized, housebroken and never chews household items. There were no inquires by her in turn, asking about weight, breed, pictures, vaccinations or anything else. There was a good deal of trust and relaxation with this person. I say this because it's refreshing in such a day and age where everyone is worried about liability. I expect that by stating this, responsible people will do her the courtesy of being honest, managing any dogs you may wish to bring, and leaving everything clean and in order. Dog owners today cannot afford to ruin trust. There IS a considerable amount of extra money involved if you bring a pet, but it was well worth it. I would stay here again!

“Amazing anniversary weekend!”

Reviewed 28 Sep 2014

This place is absolutely beautiful! The house looks small from the outside but it's actually spacious in the inside. My husband and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary at the barn and it was the best idea. The bed is comfortable, we loved the design of the bathroom and shower. The kitchen has the essentials to make a romantic dinner... The hot tub outside is awesome! We wish we had stayed longer. Definitely going back and staying at the barn!

“Relaxing weekend”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2012

Spent Easter weekend here with my husband and 2 dogs. We all had a blast! It was great to watch the dogs run around until their hearts content. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. Grill and hot tub work beautifully. Mirav lives in the main house, but we hardly saw her, only when we needed her. The cabin is peaceful and private. Would definitely recommend.

“Charming place for our winter getaway.”

Our stay at the Barn was lovely, everything we expected and more. It's beautifully renovated with many interesting details. We explored a number of towns in the area such as Woodstock and Phoenicia, both a very close drive, and Tannersville which is just a bit further north. The grill and hot tub provided a great relaxing night after a day of skiing at Belleayre. Would absolutely recommend, and hope to make it back for another stay myself. Thanks Mirav!
