Located only two minutes walk from York Minster, 7 Aspire is a top-floor apartment in a newly-built development. The 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment has been fitted and furnished to the highest standard to ensure your stay is both memorable and enjoyable. Much attention to detail has been spent in ensuring everything you may need has been provided. New for 2014! Following feedback from our guests, the apartment has been fitted with full air conditioning to ensure cool bedrooms and living area in the heat of summer.

Access to the property is via lift/stairs from a secure entrance adjacent to a handy Sainsburys Local supermarket. Our meet and greet service will meet you at the ground floor entrance, will give you the Parking Permit if required (allowing free parking in the Bootham Row public car park adjacent to the property), and will take you up to the apartment on the third floor, to show you around.

The main living space includes a kitchen, dining area, and an area to relax. The fully-fitted kitchen is equipped with all the appliances you would expect. Naturally the kitchen includes all the cutlery, crockery, glassware, utensils and cookware that you are likely to need. The dining-area seats 4 in comfort with an oak and leather dining suite. The lounge provides seating for 4 and includes a state-of-the-art wide-screen 3D high-definition television. The television is tuned to receive both Freeview and Freesat TV channels, delivering over 300 English-language TV, text and radio channels, and 60 foreign-language TV and radio channels. Attached to the television is a 3D Blu-ray player capable of playing all formats of pre-recorded disk; a library of Blu-ray and DVD disks are provided for guest use. Moreover, a selection of books and board games are provided, to keep you going if the television gets boring! For those that need to keep connected to the outside world, the apartment is fitted with wi-fi, and the main television includes high-definition Sk*pe camera connectivity if you need to keep in touch with friends or family. There is a handy wireless-induction Powermat to keep your mobile devices charged in the event you forget to bring a charger.

The main bedroom includes a king-size bed, bed-side cabinets and built-in wardrobe and drawers. A hair-dryer, hair-straighteners and curling iron are provided, as well as a second flat-screen television. Opening off the main bedroom is a quality-finished en-suite that is fitted with wall-hung basin and toilet, as well as a large shower. The second bedroom is equipped with full-sized twin beds, complemented by free-standing solid oak bed-side cabinets, a tallboy chest of drawers and a wardrobe. Moreover, a second hair-dryer is also provided. The main bathroom is adjacent to the second bedroom and along with a wall-hung basin and toilet, there is a bath with built-in shower over.

The cupboard in the hallway houses the apartment's central heating boiler, and also stores a steam iron and ironing board if needed.

For those who might want to explore York and its surrounding area on two wheels, the apartment includes secure cycle/motorcycle storage on the ground floor, with access directly opposite the Bootham Row public car park.

Finally, the apartment has stunning views - the south-facing windows overlook St. Mary’s Abbey walls on the other side of the street and the Yorkshire Museum gardens and Abbey ruins in the distance - the east-facing windows frame views of York Minster only 250m away!

7 Aspire Holiday Apartment is located less than 100m from Bootham Bar, one of the historic gates to the walled city of York. The apartment has views of York Minster only 250m away to the east, and overlooks St Mary's Abbey walls and ruins to the south towards the River Ouse. The area around Bootham Bar is a mixture of Regency and Victorian buildings - everything from grand façades to humble red brick, a mixture of retail, office, entertainment and residential properties.

York is one the country's main tourist centres. There is a multitude of things to see and do only minutes away on foot, places to shop as well as cafes, bars and restaurants of all types. York is renowned for its architecture, museums and its cultural heritage, including theatres, cinemas and street entertainment. For those here for a longer stay, the area around York contains many attractions, from stately homes to theme parks, from magnificent countryside to traditional English seaside; the choice of attractions within one hour travelling of York, could fill holidays for years.

York is served by a main-line railway station and national coach links, which arrive just a 3 minute taxi ride from the apartment. For those arriving by car/motorcycle, York is accessed from a network of good quality motorways and dual carriageways, with free parking for one vehicle provided in the public car park adjacent to the apartment, and secure cycle storage/motorcycle parking on the ground floor. York is 45 minutes drive from Leeds/Bradford airport, less than an hour's drive from Robin Hood Airport (Doncaster) and about one and a half hour's drive from Manchester and East Midlands airports, served by a mixture of scheduled, charter and low-cost airlines from around Europe and beyond.

For our long-haul visitors arriving at London-Heathrow airport, guests should allow 6+ hours from landing if driving to York (90mins baggage/immigration/car rental collection, 4½ hours driving/rest stops), or 4+ hours if taking the train to York (60mins baggage/immigration, 60mins Piccadilly-line underground to Kings Cross railway station, ~2 hours Kings Cross to York). If taking the train, don't be tempted to take the Heathrow Express - this is a fast rail link to Paddington, however, once you get to Paddington you still need to get to Kings Cross, involving either a taxi or a switch to the underground anyway; the time saved is minimal, involves more bag carrying, and is more expensive!
