This lovely stone cottage is located in Escomb, Durham and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.Pear Tree Cottage is a wonderful cottage located in Escomb, Durham. It has two bedrooms: one double and one twin, with a separate family shower room. Downstairs has an open-plan living room with a fitted kitchen and dining area. Outside has an enclosed gravelled area with furniture and a hot tub. Off-road parking is available for two cars. Pear Tree Cottage is the perfect choice for remote holiday breaks for families.

Amenities: Electric heating, electric fire. Electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, TV. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for one car. Enclosed gravelled area with furniture and hot tub. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.9 miles and pub 0.5 miles. Note: There is no WiFi at this property. Note: the property has a narrow spiral staircase and may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility, Property will only accommodate a maximum of 2 adults. Note: The hot tub is only available until 10.30pm. Please note: No noise after 11pm, maximum of 2 visitors allowed and must leave by 9pm and cannot park on site. Note: one well behaved, non-shedding, small dog allowed. Please note: this property cannot accept vans or accommodate electric cars. Note: Hot tub is subject to availability from previous guests. Note: there are glamping pods on a lovely site next to this property with a wedding ceremony cabin and teepee also available for intimate wedding celebrations.

Town: Bishop Auckland is a busy market town, 11 miles to the south of Durham and is home to the Gothic palace of Auckland Castle and deer park, a 900 year old medieval hunting lodge and grounds, once home to the Prince Bishop’s of England. Bishop Auckland offers a thriving arts and cultural scene with a cinema, theatre and arts complex. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the town centre and an abundance of shops to peruse. On the outskirts of the town you can discover the secrets of the largest Roman Fort in the county at Binchester or perhaps book a night at Kynren, a spectacular night show depicting the history of England, seen through the eyes of Arthur, a 10 year old boy from the North East, (opening July 2016) and marvel at the pyrotechnics, stunning lighting and water effects.The city of Durham is just a short drive north with an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, and a little further will take you to the Roman town of Chester-le-Street or Beamish Museum. A little further afield you can discover the Durham Dales, Newcastle upon Tyne, Hadrian's Wall, the Heritage Coast, Cragside at Rothbury and the North York Moors; there’s something for everyone.
