“At night you can sit beneath of carpet of stars in the balmy night breezes waiting to catch a shooting star. Whenever there is a shower you will see beautiful rainbows,” reads the listing for this Caribbean vacation rental, a bargain over the holiday for just $150 a night.
The one-bedroom condo is a short amble from Pineapple, Sugar and Coki beaches and overlooks the uber-private Lindquist Beach. The upgraded unit with a full kitchen, bar and king and sofa beds sleeps four, but given the romance factor of St. Thomas and the not-very-child-friendly stone walkways and stairs mentioned by a prior renter, it may be better suited for a couple’s quick getaway.
And the nice part about its location–you don’t need a car. After a day of jet skiing and fishing, sample the restaurants and nightlife in nearby Red Hook or take the ferry to St. John and other islands.
The property listing boasts only pictures of surrounding beaches, pools and sunsets, so contact the owner directly for pictures of the unit if you need extra assurance about the space. Previous tenants issued zero complaints about the layout or cleanliness of the condo, saying it was a deep discount from what most Virgin Islands vacation rental owners charged and ideal for its proximity to the action.
