Description from manager

This classic Cotswolds Cottage is situated in Burford, Oxfordshire and can sleep six people in three bedrooms.2 Lawrence Lane is a classic Cotswolds cottage situated in Burford, Oxfordshire. It is nestled down the most historic street in Burford, which features in the painting by L.S Lowry ‘Burford Church’. The property dates back to the 1500’s, the cottage is beautifully improved and enhanced whilst ensuring its original charm and characteristics remain visible. The owners have cleverly mixed period, antique furniture with modern twists throughout the cottage. Downstairs you will find an open-plan living room and dining area with a fitted kitchen. Upstairs has one first floor double bedroom, one king-size bedroom with an en suite shower room and WC. There is also a first floor bathroom and WC. Outside, located down a little path, is a private garden area with a table and chairs, as well as a small summer house. 2 Lawrence Lane is an idyllic cottage located in the heart of Burford.

Amenities: Heating with woodburner. Electric induction hob, electric oven and grill, large fridge, microwave and slimline dishwasher. Smart TV with Netflix, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Outside down a little path, there is a private garden area with table, 4 chairs and small summer house (with additional table and 2 chairs). Shop and pub 0.1 miles.

Region: Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.

Town: Burford is justifiably one of the most picturesque towns in England. Located mid-way between Oxford and Cheltenham (25 mins each away) it is a little haven of history and beauty that many come to fall in love with when they visit. The 16th century Tolsey building, once the meeting place for medieval merchants, now houses The Tolsey Museum, a delightful local museum illustrating the town's social and industrial past. History awaits! With little changing over the centuries, Burford is now very popular with visitors, both for its beauty and history but also for its shopping and antiques, and for the wide variety of places to eat, with restaurants, pubs and teashops.
