Wildlife enthusiasts will delight in the hundreds of square miles of unspoilt scenery that houses an abundance of birds, animals and species of rare plant. For the less adventurous, a railway has been constructed that will take you to the summit of Snowdon, allowing you to experience the breathtaking views without the breathtaking effort. The village is well facilitated, the inns and pubs serving good local food to weary travellers and it plays host to a number of festivals throughout the year such as the Snowdonia Mountain Run.
