Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Town: The rural hamlet of Stockton is situated close to Offa's Dyke on the Wales/Shropshire border approximately 1.5 miles from the village of Marton and six miles from Welshpool, and has a smattering of pretty cottages and farms. Situated in the Vale of Montgomery it is surrounded by unspoilt countryside.
