“Lovely Presidents Day Getaway!”

Reviewed 22 Feb 2017

Our group of 8 absolutely loved staying at Karen's lovely cottage, which is conveniently located 15 minutes from Sugarbush resort where we skied and part of our group explored the neighboring towns including Burlington. The cabin was ideal for a group of this size, with plenty of beds and a large kitchen area. Karen was the perfect host, and made sure we had everything we needed. I will certainly be back to ski and explore Vermont again soon!

“Great Place to stay”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2015

We rented White Birch Cottage for a family reunion. Five adult siblings and our Mother got together for a week to reconnect and to relax together. Our hosts were very friendly and attentive to our needs. They made us feel like family. The cottage was impeccably clean and nicely decorated, with a beautiful view of Vermont mountains. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay. I highly recommend it as a place for a gathering of any kind or a family vacation. Thanks, Karen and Bob.

“We didn't want to leave!”

Reviewed 11 Feb 2015

My boyfriend Kyle and I rented this cottage for a weekend snowboarding trip. The owners Karen and Rob were very accommodating with our last minute reservations. It was very easy to find, and after a very long night of driving we were very please to find that the cottage was warm and inviting. This cottage is absolutely beautiful. It was clean, cozy, and stocked with everything and anything that we could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable. We slept so well the first night that we woke up well rested enough to head out for a strenuous day of snowboarding. The location of this cottage was so convenient for us because Sugarbush was approximately fifteen minutes away. Exhausted from the mountain, this cottage was the perfect place for us to return to. Everything we needed was so easily accessible here. We felt completely surrounded by tranquility. The seclusion of this location, accompanied by the warmth of the cottage, and it's welcoming owners, are all reasons why we are looking forward to returning back. I almost forgot to mention the view from the back deck. It's mesmerizing. I stood out there for quite a while, regardless of the freezing temperatures, because the landscape was too beautiful to turn my back on. We can't wait to enjoy the view from this cottage during the summer!

“Norwich Parent and Family Weekend”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2014

Our family stayed at the cottage while attending Norwich University's Parent and Family Weekend. We had a wonderful time! The cottage is beautiful inside and out. Every need is provided for including the little extras (like delicious homemade treats upon your arrival). The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need and if you couldn't find it there it might be available to you at the main house. The cottage is very well maintained and very clean. There are board games provided as well as a basket of crafts to keep the kids entertained. Karen is a wonderful hostess and she checked in us on to make sure that we had all we needed and reassured us that if we did need her for anything, we could just knock on the door and she would be available. She even came over to take pictures of our family before we departed. We completely enjoyed our stay and we are looking forward to our stay next year for Parent and Family Weekend as well as graduation! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

“Family Time”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2014

We rented your Cottage to spend some vacation time with family living in Waterbury, VT. The Cottage is in a beautiful setting and we had all that we needed to prepare some meals at the cabin or to grill on the back deck. The cottage was very clean, everything organized and decorated perfectly. We found blueberry bread in our refrigerator and it was wonderful. The owners Robert and Karen stopped to see if we needed anything or would we like something picked up during their trips to town. We spent alot of our time driving to nearby towns, visiting antique stores, the farmers markets, and some restaurants. We loved the flatbread pizza place and the Wayside Inn was wonderful too. We bought some Vermont syrup which was excellent on our french toast. The area around Duxbury is filled with Mountains and rivers and just beautiful. I would love to come back to this area in the fall or the winter. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the White Birch Cottage. Thank you!

Owner's reply: We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay! We love it too! The foliage in central Vermont is spectacular and the winter activities in the area are wonderful and plentiful. We hope to see you again soon :) Warm Regards Robert and Karen

“One of the best vacations ever!”

Two families spent a wonderful weekend reunion here. Can't say enough good things. Location is perfectly situated, cabin is so cozy and comfortable. Karen is a wonderful hostess and there wasn't a thing we needed that wasn't provided for. We certainly hope to return again and again.

“Vermont at its best!”

Reviewed 4 Nov 2013

Just spent two weekends at WBC and enjoyed every minute. The cottage is homey, impeccably clean, totally equipped and tastefully appointed. The scenery is great and it is centrally located to a number of attractions and points of interest. The area abounds with artisan galleries, quaint shops and delicious dining choices. Karen Cavoretto is a great hostess! She is very knowledgable about the area and attractions, is engaging and witty but always mindful to let you have your space. She loves this place and what she does and it shows in every detail. And Buddy, the black lab, is everyone's buddy! I would HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone. Come once and you'll want to come again.

“Great getaway with kids!”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2013

Our stay at the cabin was magnificent! It was our first trip to Vermont and we couldn't have planned it any better. We are a family with two young children and the kids immediately felt at home upon entering the cozy cabin. The grounds are breathtaking and quiet. Karen was so welcoming and hospitable. She made sure we were comfortable and answered any questions we had about the area. We look forward to planning another visit in the near future.

“Clean, beautiful, accommodating stay!”

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your cottage for our first siblings weekend! Your place is cozy, welcoming, super clean, full of all of the best appliances, and beautiful! All 8 of us adults had a comfortable bed to sleep after skiing all day at Stowe. It was an overall perfect place and we will definitely come back for future visits. Thank you again for your hospitality and the apple pie when we arrived!!!
