Town: The ancient market town of Beverley, with its splendid Gothic Minster and the twice-weekly market, is a bustling place and a fabulous holiday base. The town is steeped in history; construction of the Minster began in 1220 and continued until 1425 and over the centuries has been continually added to. Today, skilled artisans and masons are employed in the upkeep of this magnificent building. Other historical building include Ann Routh's hospital, an Almshouse built in 1749, the Corn Exchange and Assembly Rooms to name a few.
