Description from owner

Our gorgeous Full Brooks Lodge has spectacular views of the surrounding hillsides within the rolling hills of Southeast, Ohio. Come to Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest to have a wonderful time at a comfortable and secluded cabin located minutes away from all outdoor activities and local attractions. When you stay at the Full Brooks Lodge, you are in the country with beautiful scenery. The Full Brooks Lodge will feel like a home away from home for you and your guests. Our guests will be spending time at a well-appointed lodge that is comfortable, clean, and offers plenty of relaxation for a getaway with family and friends.

At the Full Brooks Lodge, guests are welcomed to a lodge surrounded by pine trees and a well-manicured lawn which offers a great space for outdoor entertainment and relaxation. The lodge sits next to a private 52-acre property. Guests will be taken away by the breathtaking views of the forest from the lodge and the newly renovated gravel fire pit. Guests should take the time to sit back, relax, and get lost in the wide-open sky. At the Full Brooks, there is plenty of opportunity for you to get lost in the beautiful sunsets or starry night skies.

Upon arrival, guests will notice the screened in front porch which is a great space for sipping morning coffee or enjoy outside time during a spring storm. Guests will walk into the Full Brooks Lodge to a beautiful, spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen. The 3 bedrooms offer a place for our customers to “hit the hay” after a day of exploring all the nearby state parks. The four-season room, that sits off the kitchen, is a great place for some peace and quiet – catch up on one of your favorite books or unwind with some local brews or wine! When staying here, guests will want to utilize one of the best features - the outdoor space. The back deck is spacious allowing our guests to enjoy cookouts, eat around the picnic table, take in the wonderful views, and relax in the hot tub. Wander over to the newly renovated firepit with benches, Adirondack chairs, and a swing. The firepit sits on top of the hillside and overlooks a beautiful nearby pond and the private forest. Spend time under the stars, creating memories and roasting marshmallows around a crackling, warm fire.

The Full Brooks Lodge first started out as a farmhouse located on 100+ acres of farmland known as the Ferguson Farm. The previous owners, Miki and Jay, purchased the farm from Avanelle Ferguson. Miki & Jay has also opened the Full Brooks Café in Nelsonville prior to owning the Full Brooks Lodge. They named Full Brooks Lodge after their grandmother, Daisy Full Brooks, who resides from Sydney, Australia. When they purchased the property, they spent time renovating the farmhouse into a lodge. When we took over the lodge, we decided that we would keep the same character and continue to add to it!

“Quiet, Spacious, Comforts of a Peaceful Home”

Reviewed 26 Dec 2014

We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful cabin the weekend before Christmas. The weather was perfect for an evening fire and then a morning walk down to the pond. The location of the cabin is in a perfect spot to jet into any nearby town to find food or shopping, or even entertainment. We were going to go to The Nutcracker in Columbus but it was sold out. We went to An Appalachian Christmas Carol at Stuarts Opera House instead and we LOVED it!! The cabin was so warm and cozy and tastefully decorated with a good mix of antiques, trendy, and modern decor. It was clean and had nice amenities. The hum of the furnace was soothing when the heat kicked on, and we enjoyed the double shower. There was just the 2 of us on this trip, but the cabin was big enough to accomadate many more. Had we been there during warmer weather, the sleeping porch would've been a great place to hang out. The deck off of the back of the cabin would be a great place to have some friends for a bbq, and the covered porch on the side of the house would be great if it were to rain. We would definitely recommend Fullbrooks to our friends and we would book the cabin again for sure. The only thing we would suggest would be to get a hot tub for an extra amenity to enjoy. The owners were gracious to work with and even brought a working dvd player so we could enjoy the dvd's we had brought to enjoy

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your review and we happy you had a wonderful stay! We look forward to hosting you again!!
