Mama's Sweet Retreat is located on Spencer's Creek off the Little Wicomico River in the Northern Neck of Virginia and is accessible by boat. There is a boat and Jet Ski launch within a quarter of a mile of the home. Vir Mar Beach, a small local beach, is 3 miles away by road.
Mama's Sweet Retreat has spectacular views in a private setting and peace and quiet.
This is a no smoking home. Ash Trays are provided outside.
The Living Room
The comfortable living room features a gasfireplace, a ceiling fan and ample seating. As a large central gathering place, the living room is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your time together playing board and card games or gazing at the water. The living room provides a location to decompress and watch the water and the wildlife. Eagles, ospreys, otters, foxes, deer, herons, and songbirds have been seen from this room. The living room also has a futon should one of your party wish to sleep there.
The Kitchen
Fully equipped and bright, the Kitchen has an eat-in kitchen table, ample cabinet space and a coffee bar. The kitchen is open and usable with views of the creek while preparing meals.
The Dining Room
Adjacent to the Kitchen, the Dining room has a buffet and a dining table that can accommodate 8 people.
The Bedrooms and Baths
The Master Bedroom has a queen sized bed, a ceiling fan, dresser, a sitting area, a desk and views from every window. The Master bedroom is on the first floor. The large Master bathroom has a tub and sink with ample space for hair and personal beauty aids.
The downstairs bathroom has a toilet and sink. it is located by the laundry room and carport.
The laundry room has a full sized washer and dryer as well as a freezer and plenty of storage space.
There are two upstairs bedrooms. They each have a queen-sized bed, a dressing table, and a large closet. The bedrooms are bright and have spectacular views of the creek.
The upstairs bathroom has a tub, toilet and large sink. The upstairs bathroom has ample space for hair and personal beauty aids. The bathroom is shared between the two upstairs bedrooms.
The Outdoor Spaces
The property is beautifully landscaped and offers spectacular views from almost every room.
The water-side lawn is wonderful for playing ball or crocket.
Enjoy sitting out on the patio at the patio table listening to the birds, the boats and feeling the peace and quiet.
The house is 3.5 miles by boat via the Little Wicomico River to the Chesapeake Bay and 6 miles from great fishing.
Danny Crabbe Charter Fishing is a short distance from the Mama's Sweet Retreat.
The Northern Neck is one of the few places left that you can still see the stars.
