Hi, I'm Sandra!

My husband took this picture during our "trip of a lifetime" as we were crossing the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2.

Being "on the water" is one of my favorite places to be. That is why I had to buy this house overlooking the Nissequoge River and Long Island Sound when it became available. Looking across the river to Short Beach from this house brings back wonderful childhood memories of family gatherings.

"To sit in the shade on a fine day and look upon the water is the most perfect refreshment".

Here is my property:

Sit in the shade and watch the birds and boats go by or rent a kayak or canoe and get out there. This is a great place for the family if you are looking for a beautiful spot on the water. We can sleep more than 8 but think up to 8 is generally best. The house overlooks the Nissequogue...

Lucky to Find North Shore Rental

“ Excellent ”
July 18, 2013
There are very few availabilities between Manhattan and the East End of Long Island. So many of us stay in typical chain hotels along the LIExpressway. Well, here is a home, a real home, that is clean, filled with all you need, and enables relaxation and appreciation of Long Island's North Shore to boot. 4 Bedrooms with Vermont made pyramid beds, AC, and a front porch with idyllic views of the Nissequogue River, Long Island Sound in the far distance. It is a bit tight but very cosy. Beautiful kitchen implements and a grill with casual seating outside. Cooking is fun. Chairs on the lawn and a bathrobe per guest in which to drink coffee, enjoy the waterview, and catch up. Situated in an old Italian immigrant summer bungalow neighborhood "San Remo," this house is close enough to the Sagtikos Parkway and Northern State to get in and out, close enough to Kings Park to enjoy true blue family owned deli's, bakery, and restaurants, yet, far away enough to feel you are really on vacation - canoe/kayak, beach it, ride a bike, relax and read a book. Parks and boat rentals are nearby. The house is old, quaint, and useful. Take a day trip to NYC from the Kings Park LIRR, enjoy a family outing, but best of all, visit LI and see your relatives without having to stay in the "same old" hotel. We are glad to have found this place! Thank you Sandra!
