Hi, I'm Michele!

My husband and I have owned and managed our cottages for almost 10 years and we love what we do! I am constantly redecorating and I love to meet people. Since we live here and handle everything ourselves, I think you will really see a big difference between our cottages and those who are managed by large companies or that are maintained by out-of-town owners. Don't hesitate to call or write if you have any questions about what to do or where to eat on St. Simons Island. I am a cook and eating is my favorite pastime! We enjoy helping our guests find their way around these islands.

Notice! There have been quite a few additions to the vacation rental market on St. Simons Island over the past year or more. This is primarily due to the economic crisis. Many homes may not be well furnished or may be in trouble financially, so make sure you do your homework! This...

St Simons Island is just as described, very picturesuqe and lots to do. Our cottage was quaint and very cozy as well as close to the downtown square. Our host, Michelle, was very nice and easy to work with and started us off with Cheese, crackers and wine, everything a "Cheese Head" needs. Oh yeah, did I mention the BBQ Grill, perfect for Brats soaked in Beer. We will return agin next year to St Simons Island.I suggest Palmers for breakfast and the Palms for Coffee and desert.

Super-quaint beach cottage in the village

The Seagull, owned and managed by the lovely and cool Michele Beveridge of The Island Cottage Company, is an ideal place to stay on St. Simon's. It's right in the village within easy walking distance of the pier, lighthouse, Neptune Park, shopping and tons of great restaurants and bars. It's a very short bike ride or drive to the best beach near the King & Prince and the coast guard station. With 3 bedrooms and two baths, it will easily accommodate 6-8 people. The cottage is beautifully AND comfortably decorated in a classic, beach vibe, but with a tasteful, premium style. There are 2 large family rooms with nice, flat-screen TVs and DVD player. Michele has outfitted this cottage with everything you could possibly need to live there, year-round, including pots and pans, dishes, silverware, all sorts of beverage and wine glasses, cooking utensils, plush towels, beach towels, and even skewers and proper implements for the gas grill. There's a huge, fenced back yard with a comfortable deck and lush, established landscaping. The outdoor shower comes in handy too, after a day at the beach with two smelly dogs! Michele lives in the same area and couldn't be a friendlier, more hospitable hostess, sharing lots of interesting, island history and must-see/must-do recommendations. She even sent me a pre-vacation package of local menus and info on things to see and do, once I got there. And upon my arrival, I discovered a bottle of wine, cheese and other snacks awaiting me. I would recommend this cottage to anyone, and will rent it again, next time I visit St. Simon's.
