Hi, I'm Mike!

After years of driving to Northern Michigan, I bought these cottages about 6 years ago. Though the drive to Northern Michigan never really bothered me (we would go 30-35 weekends a year), I don't know how I did it. The quick one hour drive to the Irish Hills makes a trip to the lake so easy. I find the Irish Hills to be a very calm relaxing area. Round Lake is great, decent sized, no public access keeping boat traffic down to a fun level. The lake has a great sand bar which numerous boats assemble on, especially on the weekend.

We had planned this trip and the owner was very helpful in altering us to come in two days early. The only critical issue we had was the timely communication. The smaller issues were that there were small pieces of the ceiling that fell down and there was some bricks for some small construction on the side of house. We had planned my parent's 50th anniversary party and the house was perfect for the party and guests. We had brought much of our own home as we weren't too sure of what would be there and we were pleasantly surprised that the majority of daily needs were there. The house was perfect for our plans.
