Hi, I'm Trevor!

Judy and I first came to Prince Edward Island, the "Gentle Island' back in 2002. We were living in London, in the UK, and came to get our daughter settled at the University here. The Island has the Number 1 Vet School in all of Canada and her greatest wish was to become a Veterinary Doctor. We both fell in love with the place and less than a year later we were back again but this time as Canadian Residents and the proud owners of a 5 Star Inn in Charlottetown. Tigh-Na-Mara (Gaelic for "House By the Sea") was the first house that we managed on PEI and we love it.The views over the water are breathtaking and we always describe the house as a "little piece of heaven on earth" Our guests repeatedly say the same and marvel at the wildlife, bald eagles, osprey, blue heron and of course our resident foxes who seem to return every year. If you are looking for a holiday that will recharge your batteries and allow you to relax and rejuvenate then this is the place for you!

Fabulous views

This cottage has been designed to make maximum use of the fabulous view over Brackley Bay - the master bedroom, spacious living room and dining area all look out onto the water and beyond to the sand dunes which separate the bay from the ocean. Off in the distance to the left you can see the roof of the historic Shaw's Hotel and to the right Covehead and cottages in the Stanhope area. Energetic souls could easily walk to Brackley Beach which provides access to miles and miles of beach walking; less energetic folks can drive the short distance to a large parking lot. The well equipped cottage is stocked with ample dishes, mugs, plates and bowls and has a well-designed kitchen. We didn't use the kayak or hot tub but the cottage owner has provided both for the convenience of guests. A three bedroom cottage with 2 bathrooms, this is a great place to stay.
