Hi, I'm Lynda!

My husband Chris and I moved to Maine almost 16 years ago from South of Boston. My husband was a conveyancing attorney in Boston, and I worked for an engineering firm, SEA Consultants, in Cambridge, MA.
We looked for five years before we found just the right place. After eight months of getting to know the Eastern part of Maine, that is, Downeast Maine, I decided to work part-time to get to know the people as well as this beautiful area.
Chris and I love to read, visit with our grandchildren, work on house projects, travel, sail, and garden. We like to laugh, good food, good friends, and most of all, spending time together.
We love it here! Summers are short, but filled with activities, visits from friends and family, bright flowers, many birds, long days, kayaking or sailing to the many islands off the coast, lobster feeds, bright stars, long walks.
I work as a bookkeeper 15 hours a week, volunteer for Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County and Friends in Action, a senior citizen support organization in Ellsworth.

Since 2004, Cove House has been a great place to stay when visiting Acadia National Park. It is located in Marlboro, on the quiet side of Lamoine. From the comfortable deck, you have expansive views of Raccoon Cove, Frenchman Bay, Schoodic Point and the mountains of Mount Desert...

Wonderful House, Great Landlord!

“ Excellent ”
September 18, 2015
We came to Maine looking for nature, peace, and "End of the World" feeling. We found just that here! The house sits in the woods, quiet and private. We arrived in the early evening, greeted by the ocean breeze, the endless green color around, the beautiful view of the bay and the mountain in Acadia. The kids were so excited, and they run over through the woods down to the bay without even going into the house. The house pictures on the web page are very nice, but the actual house is even better. It is very well kept and it felt like it was built just last year. It is spacious, extremely clean, with all the modern home features we like. The owner did a terrific job stocking everything you will ever need. We even found chopsticks in the drawer! The collection of books and games in the house is beyond normal vacation rentals. I loved my morning coffee time on the deck, watching the clamers working in the distant bay, kids running back and forth through the woods. If you love the adventure digging the clams out of the mud, you will have so much fun. Lynda is the greatest landlord one can ever wish for. We were looking at a few other houses, and we chose this one because of Lynda. She is very easy to work with, responses quickly. She is kind and accommodating. I had a lot of questions about the property and the area. Lynda answered them with patience and gave me detailed information on all I was asking for. The area is quiet and remote, with reasonable driving distance to Acadia, which was exactly what we were looking for. Our vacation week was perfect and we all just wished we could have stopped the time! We will definitely stay here if we return to ME again.
