Hi, I'm Jacqueline Ley!

My husband, Bill, and I recently retired. We are in our late 60's and trying to relax a little more. The old fish camp with its quaint cottages and old marina is a labor of love for us. (Bill says it is more labor and less love.) The fish camp was owned by my parents but after their passing we wanted to preserve its history and keep the land in our family. So, we fixed up the cottages and we rent the two smaller ones short term and the three larger ones full time. We usually stay weekends in the front cottage. My brother, Jim (a retired police captain) and his wife, Judy, renovated my parents' old home next door and they look after things while we are in St. Petersburg. We love meeting our guests and enjoy learning from and about them.

Here is my property:

Lakefront cottages in the heart of Central Florida close to Disney and Universal theme parks but worlds away from congestion and commercialism. This cottage is one of five spotlessly clean, completely remodeled cottages in a quaint "fishcamp" from the 1940's. (See link below for ...

Great place for rest and relaxing

“ Excellent ”
June 2, 2013
We stayed for 16 great nights, very peaceful after a day spent at the theme parks. It's a very lovely place, the view is great, out of the way of the city. This is a great location to mix going to Disney and Universal yet being in a rural natural location for just relaxing. It's cozy with a great kitchen including a full stove and oven with everything you need provided. We had plan to alternate one day as a typical tourist, the next in just do nothing mode and this was the perfect location for it. We did not plan it that way but we ate out just once, we would pack a small lunch before we left and some bottle water then go to one of the parks. We ended up not buying a single food or drink item inside any of the 6 parks we visited. Everything else we cook right there, We spent about 2/3rds the money we planed on. If you have work to do the internet is great, and you can work on the back porch over looking the lake.
