Beautiful get away retreat!

“ Excellent ”
July 14, 2015
This gorgeous retreat would be comfortable for two or ten people. The open concept home, allows for plenty of activity for ten. We had 8 adults and two toddlers, (four generations) all staying comfortably together. There was ample amount of seating in both the dining and living area. We comfortably dined and played games around the dining room table while still able to watch the toddlers playing in the living room. We utilized both the main cabin (house) and guess house to its fullest, where there was plenty of beds for all. The guest house sleeping porch and the main house screened in porch were perfect to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Back River. The views from the house are stunning. Each bedroom has a lovely view of the river or surrounding woods. This is truly a peaceful and relaxing home. Georgetown offers many fabulous places to visit. Nearby, is Five Islands, Reid State Park, and the city of Bath, which offered more shopping, restaurants and activities. We also visited, Boothbay, where we went deep sea fishing. Freeport has the original L.L. Bean store and hosts many outlet stores. Bar Harbor is only a few short hours away, along with Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain, with its breathtaking views. We were there the week of July 4th. Bath had its Heritage Day festivities, which included a carnival with rides, an antique car show, rides on an antique firetruck and fireworks! We cannot wait to bring the whole family back to this beautiful home, where one can enjoy the serenity of its surroundings and/or the activities of nearby communities and parks and beaches.
