Hi, I'm Lee!
I have lived in Southwest Harbor, Maine, here on Mount Desert Island since 1946 when my father, a Doctor and native of Bar Harbor, returned to the island to begin medical practice. For many years he was the "Town Doctor" and I would tag along as he did house calls on the island and the outer islands. I had a boat building business for thirty years, ran a couple of restaurants, taught school briefly, did some part time lobstering, retired in 2004. Am now doing a fair amount of writing, articles, a book, and working on a cookbook.I have lived at the family camp which my Dad built in 1946 at least a part of every summer except for my time in the Army. I enjoy fishing swimming, reading, working on the two cabins, boating including canoeing and kayaking and camping. I used to be an avid skier, but now we go to Florida winters where it's safer and I don't beat up my limbs.
