Description from manager

A spacious and beautifully decorated former farmhouse, this property offers comfortable and cosy accommodation that sleeps up to five people. This lovely former farmhouse is just half a mile away from the little village of Glanton and nine miles from Alnwick. It is set amid rolling countryside and the accommodation is comfortable and welcoming. There is a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a cosy sitting room with a woodburner. There are two good sized bedrooms, one four poster king-size double room and one room with three single beds. Outside is a large garden to the front of the property, which has garden furniture and a barbecue for summer evening alfresco dining. There is also access to the owner's field. The property sleeps five people and with its proximity to so many attractions and amenities, this location make an excellent choice for a family holiday in this lovely area.

Amenities: Electric storage heaters with woodburner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Sky Q, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot, highchair and stairgate. Off road parking for 3 cars. Front lawned garden with furniture and BBQ, plus access to owner's field. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Stabling and manège available at additional cost by prior arrangement with owner. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk.

Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: Glanton is a little gem of a village that lies at the foot of the Cheviots and is in some of the most picturesque countryside that Northumberland has to offer. Glanton has a village store and a public house, but for a wider range of shops and other amenities, the busy town of Alnwick is only nine miles away. Alnwick is also famous for its Castle and spectacular gardens, which are well worth a visit. The small town of Rothbury is also close by, as are the house and gardens at Cragside - a National Trust property. The village is well placed for exploring the scenery of the Northumberland National Park and has numerous cycle routes and footpaths as well as the Heritage Coastline. Glanton is a perfect base for a holiday in Northumberland.
