“Dog owners be aware!”

Thank you for your feedback. We work very hard to provide beautiful accommodation which is accurately described on the websites we use. We clearly communicate that arrival is from 16:00. Before then the house is occupied by our team preparing it. The available parking is required for the team of cleaners, gardeners, hot-tub maintenance and, unfortunately for this particular Friday, a vehicle to deliver a replacement fridge. There is no room for guests to occupy the house or parking before 16:00. You were politely told this by the cleaner when you asked. You chose to park anyway. As your vehicle was causing an obstruction, you were asked to move it after you had finished your meal at the tea rooms. We organised the cupboards and clean the dishwasher every week. We are confident there were no broken glasses or dirty mugs in the dishwasher or the cupboards at the start of your stay. In fact, a full compliment of glasses were in the property at the end of your stay, for which we are very appreciative. Our website clearly and accurately describes the property as being in the centre of the village and contains pictures showing adjacent houses. We counted 7 of the photographs showing other properties. The short walk to dog friendly Crantock Beach is one of the property's attractions. Many of our guests say that they park their cars on arrival and do not use it again until they leave. Most of our guests bring their well behaved dogs and find the accommodation as described and suitable. The well laid out gardens are described as enclosed, and are so, but are not escape proof. The deal is, we provide beautiful and comfortable accommodation that allows dogs and our guests respect this and clean up after themselves. It is very rare we have to retain some of the Good Housekeeping Bond. Unfortunately we had to after your stay. We are sorry that Great Weston Farmhouse was not the ideal house for your stay and hope that you manage to find what you are looking for before your next holiday. Kind Regards, The Property Owner

Delighted you enjoyed your stay. For those reading this review, we would like to explain that there is central heating as well as an atmospheric wood burner. The hot tub has been used throughout the winter and makes out of main season holidays extra special.
