Breckenridge Travel Resources

Breckenridge, or more commonly known by its frequenters, ‘Breck,’ is located in the ‘Ten Mile Range’ section of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.  Breckenridge is home to one of America’s top ski resorts, appropriately named, ‘Breckenridge Ski Resort’ and it stretches across four large peaks. The ski resort is the primary reason the town is comprised of so many part-time residents.

In addition to being a ski hub, Breckenridge is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. Fly fishermen flock to the mountainside community to drop a line in the freshwater streams, and trekkers from all over love Breck’s countless hiking trails and camping locations.  Dog sledding, Cross country skiing, hot air balloon rides, rock climbing, snowshoeing and even mine touring are all popular activities that attract visitors to Breckenridge every year.

Some events in Breckenridge that you’ll want to try to attend are the Breckenridge Film Festival and the International Snow Sculpture Championships. The Film Festival takes place in September, and features all sorts of amazing films and honorable guests and Snow Sculpture Championships is an event like no other – the skill demonstrated by these arctic artists is truly amazing.

Breckenridge is fun for all ages and can be enjoyed in all seasons. There’s always something to do in Breck, so plan your trip to this slope-side city today!
