Disney Travel Resources

The Disney Area in Florida is comprised of several cities and towns in central Florida, including Davenport, Kissimmee, Orlando, The Villages, Clermont and many more.  The Disney Area is one of the most traveled-to destinations in the world, and it’s easy to see why!

The weather in the area averages highs above 70 all year, and for the most part is rather comfortable. However, during May through September – Hurricane Season – there are frequent showers that need to be considered. The rain generally doesn’t last that long, but it can sneak up quickly so always being equipped with an umbrella is suggested.

The area is also well known for its fantastic restaurants and golf courses. Since many of the traveling population that visits the Disney Area are children, there are a plethora of casual and themed dining options. However, the downtown Orlando section of the Disney Area actually attracts some of the best chefs in the world, and as a result there are some of the best high-end eateries in the world – just make sure to lock up a reservation in advance. Also calling the area home are many professional golfers, and with courses like Shingle Creek Golf Club, Orange County National, ChampionsGate Golf Club and many more, it’s to understand why.

But what’s the most popular reason folks travel from all over the world to the Disney Area? Well, it’s Disney World, of course! Walt Disney World has been around since 1971, and it’s the most visited theme park in the world. Between the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom, Walt Disney World has activities to appeal to all palettes.

Everyone should experience the Disney Area, so start planning your trip today!
