Siesta Key Travel Resources

Siesta Key, located in the Gulf Coast Central area of Florida is home to arguably the best beaches in the world. Every of the most respected ‘beach rankers’ include Siesta Key in their lists, and it’s usually due to how white and soft the sand of the Siesta Key beaches is. It’s truly magical.

This barrier island is about eight miles in length, and the beach provides much of the entertainment. There are frequently sandcastles building competitions and volley ball matches to get involved in, or at least keep the kids entertained. The Gulf water is warm, clear and couldn’t be more inviting. Parents often remark that it’s an exceptionally safe beach to bring the kids because the waves are minimal and there’s a nice gradual slope to wade into.
Also, there are usually restrooms and establishments to buy snacks from within walking distance. This makes traveling with the children much easier.

The beach isn’t the only place in Siesta Key to catch a good time – the Siesta Key Village is home to some terrific restaurants and night life. No surprise, but much of the cuisine is focused around the local seafood. There are restaurants for all budgets in the village.

Siesta Key is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Use the Siesta Key Travel Resources below to plan your trip today. Just make sure that you carve out a chunk in the schedule to catch the sunset  - it might be the best attraction on the island!
