It is surrounded by good, gentle walking country with much of the landscape being very flat, although hills do rise to the south and west. The village itself is made up of many striking buildings, such as Trevalyn Hall and a church that was built in 1892 by two architects and uses tubular bells to peal. Rossett is well situated for visitors to explore local attractions such as Chester Zoo, the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm and the ancient ruins of Beeston Castle.
