Description from manager

A cosy and compact stone-built cottage, this semi-detached character building is next to the owners' property on a seven-acre small-holding and can sleep two people in one bedroom. The accommodation at Crispen Cottage is all on the ground floor and comprises a king-size bedroom, a shower room, a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table and a delightfully-furnished sitting room with an welcoming open fire. The cottage also benefits from a lovely garden which is perfect for outdoor dining. Among the many charming features of Crispen Cottage which have been retained are the exposed wooden beams and the impressive traditional stone fireplace.Crispen Cottage is an ideal base for couples looking to explore the delights of Shropshire.

Amenities: Oil central heating with open fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Bike storage. Lawned garden with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops 3.5 miles, pub 1 mile. Note: Babes-in-arms only.

Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Town: The beautiful South Shropshire countryside has so many attractions, and Wall-Under-Heywood is close to the Ironbridge Gorge, Stokesay castle, the Severn Valley Steam Railway and Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, to name a few. It is also just a few miles from the oldest pub in Shropshire - the Royal Oak in Cardington, which can actually be found in the Domesday Book. There is endless natural beauty to be discovered in this wonderful area too, and the Shropshire hills are perennially popular with walkers, cyclists, riders, ramblers and wildlife lovers of all descriptions all year round. The traditional and still-bustling market towns of Church Stretton and Much Wenlock are close to Wall-Under-Heywood, while the amenities and visitor attractions of busy Shrewbury and historic Ludlow are within easy reach. This is an excellent and sought-after holiday location with plenty to offer to suit a wide variety of tastes.
