Description from manager

PRIVATE STRUCTURE. Brezza di Mare, situated 700 m from the sea in one of the most lively areas of the eastern Ligurian coast, is a unique property with the two characteristic colours enfolding it: the blue of the gulf on one side and the green of the garden and wood of holm oaks on the other. The relaxing, quiet atmosphere of the villa, is made even more special thanks to the short distance, just 7 minutes by car, that separates it from the centre of Rapallo and its beautiful harbour. The villa transmits a feeling of sobriety and great elegance thanks to the attentive choice of materials and style typical of Ligurian architecture. Its hilltop position keeps Villa Brezza di Mare cool during the summer, thanks to both the green vegetation of the hills surrounding it and to the midday sea breeze from which it takes its name.

Portable air conditioning in the bedrooms, satellite TV, DVD player, radio with CD player, internet Wi-Fi connection, fans in the bedrooms, swim-up pool and whirlpool, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, american coffee machine, Nespresso coffee machine, moka, toaster, juicer, washing machine, iron and ironing board, piano, billiard table, whirlpool tub, hydro-massage shower, stone barbecue, baby cot, high chair.

Villa Brezza di Mare has two floors. On the first floor is the living area consisting of a large sitting room with fireplace and piano and with a panoramic view over the whole gulf, a well-equipped eat-in kitchen with pantry and exit out to the garden and outdoor dining area, a double bedroom overlooking the hills with bathroom with shower and a studio with queen size loft bed and en-suite bathroom. A slate staircase goes down to the ground floor where we find the master bedroom with walk-closet and two bathrooms, one with hydro-massage tub and the other with wellness shower. A large games room with a beautiful 19th century billiards table in the centre, which doubles up as a little cinema, and separate entrance will satisfy all the entertainment needs of its guests. There are two ways to get into the house: via a private driveway through a wrought iron gate to the garage which leads directly into the house or via the main staircase that leads up to the first floor.

The partially level garden of about 4.000 sq m is planted mainly with Mediterranean herbs and wild plants and includes a vegetable garden, an orchard and an olive grove. The property is completed by a beautiful pergola organized as a dining area and by various relaxation areas behind the house.

Swimming Pool

The oval pool 2.30 x 5.90 with a constant depth of 1.40 m lies at the side of the entrance to the villa and is easily reached across the lawn. It has large steps leading into the water, chlorine purification, PVC lining and is divided in two parts, with the main part equipped with counter current swimming and the smaller part with hydro-massage seats. The sunbathing area is partly paved in stone and partly lawn. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday of October.

About the area

The Gulf of Tigullio, in the eastern part of Liguria, lies between the promontories of Portofino and Sestri Levante; in the centre of this gulf, protected by a mountainous amphitheatre covered by one of the largest natural parks of holm oaks, lies Rapallo. Its geographical position and the sea breezes that cool it in summer and mitigate it in winter have created a particular microclimate while the sun and Monteallegro protect it from the north winds, making it 3 degrees warmer in winter than nearby Santa Margherita and Portofino. Rapallo is an elegant town, full of recreational opportunities, that has hosted many illustrious people, from writers to princesses, thanks to its pleasant climate and its sea and which, still today, is a great attraction in one of the most renowned areas of the region. Along the seafront, Rapallo spreads between the beach of the "Castello dei Sogni" ( to the east) and the two characteristic beaches of Prelo and Trelo in the bay of San Michele di Pagana (to the west). Going on foot along this part of the coast you will see all the little beaches, inlets and old villas with the characteristic colours of this land. Like nearby Santa Margherite Ligure, Rapallo, thanks to the elegance and refinement of its streets and its visitors who have been coming here over the years for their holidays, is a high class shopping area, especially in its narrow little pedestrian streets. As regards night life, Rapallo with its centuries-old "Dolce Vita" fame, is not far from some of the other more important areas of Ligurian social life: a few kilometres away, in Santa Margherita (and more precisely, in Paraggi), is the renowned club, the Covo di Nord-Est and, continuing along you come to the most precious gem of the riviera, Portofino, one of the most exclusive places in Italy. There are many sports activities which can be practised all year long: sailing, diving, wind surfing, hiking, tennis and golf. Nearby towns to visit include Santa Margherita Ligure (4 km), Chiavari (14 km), Sestri Levante (24 km) and posh Portofino (9 km).
