Description from manager

This spacious, detached cottage rests near the village of Minsterley in Shropshire and can sleep two people in one bedroom.Shepherd's View is a charming log cabin situated up on a hill within the owners smallholding, near the Shropshire village of Minsterley. It boasts a king-size double bedroom for two people and a shower room with a separate cloakroom. Inside also has an open-plan lounge/diner with a woodburning stove and a fitted kitchen. To the outside is a decking area with table and chairs overlooking the hill range and ample off-road parking. Shepherd's View is a thoughtfully presented lodge engulfed by wonderful Shropshire scenery.

Amenities: Electric heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven, induction hob, fridge, microwave, TV with NowTV package, DVD player, DAB radio, WiFi, selection of books and DVD's. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off-road parking. Bike storage. Decked terrace with furniture and access to duck pond and picnic bench on the owners 26 acres of land. Sorry, no children, no pets and no smoking. Shop 4 miles, Pub 2 miles. Note: Property does have some noise in the summer for two weeks during hay baling season and for two weeks in the spring for lambing season.

Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Town: The village of Minsterley lies in the Shropshire Hills, just 10 miles from the town of Shrewsbury. Minsterley boasts a pub, shop and Post Office and a fish and chip shop! The village of Pontesbury is just one mile away and offers further amenities, including takeaways and restaurants, plus Arscott Golf Club, Springlea Fishing Pools and the Pontesbury cycle/footpath. Close by is The Long Mynd, which is a haven for walkers and wildlife watchers and provides a convenient place to relax and take in the scenery on offer. There are plenty of things to do in the area with the National Trust's Attingham Park, Wroxeter Roman City, the museums at Ironbridge, the castle and Michelin starred restaurant of Ludlow and Acton Scott working farm.
