The property has two bedrooms; a king-size double and twin resting under the eaves, sharing access to a bathroom with bath and shower over, sleeping four guests. There is also a cloakroom and an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and seating area with electric fire. Outside there is a patio seating area and off-road parking. Holly Cottage is a picturesque retreat for those wanting to explore the Peak District.

The village is home to a 19th century country pub, the Castle Inn, and is also home to the Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, which was formed in 1934. Just 1.5 miles away is Stocksbridge which boasts a good selection of eateries and shops, together with many bridleways and footpaths for visitors to discover.
