Description from manager

This lovely cottage in Worton sleeps four in two bedrooms.Topsy-Turvy Cottage is situated in Worton near Askrigg. With two ground bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin, it sleeps four comfortably. There is also a ground floor bathroom. The living accommodation is on the first floor and consists of a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with electric fire. Outside there is a small, walled gravel patio to the front with furniture and also off road parking for one car, with potential additional parking for an extra car a short distance away. Topsy-Turvy is a great cottage for walking in the area, and also for exploring Wensleydale and Swaledale.

Amenities: Oil central heating with electric fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Sky, DVD, CD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 1 car, additional roadside parking for 1 car. Small front gravel patio with furniture. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 1.5 miles, pub 3 mins walk.

Region: From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Town: The beautiful village of Askrigg is set in stunning Wensleydale. Askrigg is known to many as the home of Skeldale House where vet James Herriot lived in "All Creatures Great and Small." This breathtaking area is home to many beauty spots including Aysgarth Falls and nearby Semerwater, Yorkshire's only natural lake, which was formed (so legend says) after a weary traveller was refused hospitality from a raging storm by the villagers and so cursed the village to a watery end. There are castles at Bolton and Middleton, the spectacular Hardraw Force, England's highest single drop waterfall at a height of 99 feet and many other market towns and villages to discover. Askrigg is a wonderful village from which to discover this magnificent area and makes a great holiday base.
