Description from owner

Whether this is your first trip to the great state of Alaska, or you are a returning visitor, Alaska Creekside Cabins is the place to make your memories extra special. Offering 3 waterfront locations in the beautiful Matanuska Valley, each cabin suite has it's own private deck which overlooks either Cottonwood Creek or Wasilla Creek, which are designated salmon spawning creeks by ADF&G. The serene & peaceful settings are perfect for viewing the many different types of water fowl that visit, the salmon swimming upstream, & of course the occasional moose. We offer the convenience of being only minutes from downtown Wasilla or Palmer, yet the seclusion most people are looking for.

Suitable for 5/6 guests, our cabin suites in Wasilla and Palmer feature a full bathroom with jetted tub/shower. The bedrooms include a queen-size bed and three single beds. The living room hosts a gas fireplace, TV, DVD player, stereo and wireless Internet access. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking anything from a quick snack to a gourmet meal. There are also gas grills on the decks so you can enjoy fresh grilled meals while looking out over the creek.

And while our summers are world famous for the endless daylight, our winters are also a time to consider visiting with the Iditarod, ice fishing & snow machine trails very close by and the Northern Lights being something you will never forget...

As locals with knowledge of the community, our objective is to diligently assist you in meeting your vacation goals, while making sure you are as comfortable as possible with your lodging.

Please fell free to call us to dicuss your trip. We are here to help you make the most of your trip to Alaska , while sharing the beauty of the Matsu Valley.

“Great Cabin in Wasilla”

Reviewed 31 May 2016

Loved it. Super cute and super easy to get to. Close near town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Great tips provided on the surrounding area and things to do. :)

“Beautiful, Quiet Cabin”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2015

This was a very clean, well kept, up to date cabin. It is off the beaten track yet minutes from conveniences (grocery store, liquor store, and a couple of restaurants). Has a fire pit for making s'mores. Diane was great making sure we had everything we need. Would definitely stay there again.

Owner's reply: Thanks Dee! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your comments. Thank you for taking the time to review our place and take care, Diane

“Very nice”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2015

We spent two weeks in the cabin and really enjoyed the experience. The view was spectacular. Diane and John gave us some pointers on what to see and do and were good hosts.

Owner's reply: Hi Dixie, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. What an awesome summertime adventure you two got to go on. I hope my husband and I get to do the same thing someday :) Diane

“Our stay in Wasilla”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2014

Diane and her husband were very helpful and welcoming, even though we arrived very early. They gave us ideas and a map, showing us a beautiful drive to Matanuska Glacier. On our way back, Diane called to say our cabin was ready and we could go straight there. The cabin was very, very nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay there immensely! They also told us about Hatchers Pass, which we drove the next day. Talk about beautiful! We were even blessed to see a bull and cow moose, grazing and drinking in the grassy hills, before we got close to Willow. Thank you for your patience, your help and your suggestions. Also your concern for our safety! You made our stay in Wasilla fun and wonderful and we would stay there again. Hopefully, we get the chance to come back! Thanks again, the Schlaters.

Owner's reply: Thanks for taking the time to write a review Rita. We really appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed your stay and got to see some of the best that Alaska has to offer. And good to hear everything worked out well with the four wheelers :) Take care, Diane

“Loved the Creekside cabins!”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2014

My sister and I and our adult kids rented two of the cabins next to each other for three nights on our first trip to AK. We loved it! The cabins were quaint, clean and the views beautiful! We enjoyed the fire pit one night and used the kitchen to make a couple homemade meals. Diane and John were so friendly and helpful in assisting us in finding our way around and deciding what to do and see. We even had a moose and her baby visiting in the "backyard!" We would definitely rent here again! Thank you, Diane!!

Owner's reply: Very happy that you all enjoyed your stay & we really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review Sydney. Glad you got to see the moose too :) Take care, Diane

“Trip to beautiful Alaska”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2013

Three adults stayed in Serenity and it was very accomodating and the view of the Talkeetna mountains from the deck was spectacular! The only downside is that the access to the loft was by ladder, not steps, but if you do not mind climbing up and down a ladder it would be fine. Other than that our stay was perfect! Alaska is a beautiful and magical place, hope to return someday.

“Excellent place to stay in a great location”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2013

Anytime I am staying in the Mat Su area I always stay here if there is an opening. When I stay here I am always assured an easy check in and check out, clean, quiet and comfortable accommodations at a great price/value. All of the cabins have a beautiful view and though you maybe close to others you feel a sense of privacy and quiet that I have not found with similar places. The host, Diane, is always pleasant and helpful. The cabins are located in such a place that it is an easy day trip to places such as Talkeetna, Anchorage, Palmer, Girdwood, Hatcher Pass and even Seward! Shopping and restaurants are also closely.

Owner's reply: Thanks Marianne!

Owner's reply: Jeannette, Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a nice review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. I know my husband got to meet you, but hopefully next time I will also. Thanks again, Diane
