The Napping House is a full amenities rental. The perfect home for vacation with large or extended family. 3 levels to provide comfort, space and privacy. On the top floor, the large master bedroom complete with king size bed and flat screen TV. Down the hall, the kids bungalow with 2 pyramid bunks that can sleep up to 3 kids each, and large walk in closet includes flat screen TV, Play station 3 and DVD player. The 1st level bedroom has easy access to a queen size bed, flat screen TV and separate full bath. 1st level also has a small living room a sectional couch which converts to a queen size bed as you wish. Room includes puzzle table, games and flat screen TV. On the middle floor the fully stocked kitchen includes coffee maker and grinder, ice cream maker and new bake ware. Kitchen table with seating for 10. 60" flat screen in living room with cable, DVD player and DVD library. Washer and dryer. Large deck with table and umbrella. Large pool and tennis courts within walking distance. 10 min bike, 4 min drive to downtown Bethany beach and it's cute boardwalk.

Want a quiet beach? You'll find peace and open space at the two state park beaches on either side of Bethany, Indian River Inlet and Fenwick State Park

About the area

Bethany Beach is a very family friendly area. They have free movies on the beach on Mondays and bonfires on Thursdays. We confidently let our teenagers wander the boardwalk. There are many fun events planned on the weekends. The life guards are amazing. If you want a quieter beach Fenwick State Park beach is less than 10 minutes and has lots of room for a catch on the beach. There is a large beautiful pool in our complex within walking distance. The pool area has lots of chaise lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas and a large pergola. Our favorite places include 14 Global (foodies will be delighted), Taco Taco (teens will be delighted) and Bonkies (Family will be delighted)

Getting around

We are not on the Bethany Trolley route. We are a 10 minute bike ride to the beach or a 5 minute drive.

Excellent! This is our new annual summer vacation place what a great clean home in an amazing location. We had so much fun, the pool was fantastic and just a quick walk away. Bethany beach boardwalk was really close by and perfect especially if you have small kids. The house is fully equipped with everything you can think of and so well taken care of and the décor inside is just so pretty what a great home! Thank you for a great vacation home and we will be back next summer! Coopers and Taylors

We had 4 adults and 6 children. We had a very nice stay. We would have liked to have been closer to the beach, but it was just a short drive to Bethany. We liked how close we were to Ocean City as well. We did not like how both Bethany Beach and Ocean City both charge for parking. Kathy was very easy to communicate with. Great pool!

My family and I just came back from The Napping House. What a beautiful place! The amenities, price and location cannot be beat. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to vacation in the Bethany Beach area. Special thanks to Kathy and Tom for making our stay at a very special one! We do plan on returning again to The Napping House in the near future.

The napping house met all of our needs and expectations. It's neighborhood is quiet, off the beaten path, but still close to the beach (under 5 minutes in the car) and groceries. The pool was great at just a short block away. I would definatly consider staying there again if we return to Bethany Beach. This was our first of hopefully many trips there as we loved the beach area with it's quaint shops and lack of commercialism and crowds.

We spent a long weekend at the Napping House. Everything was great from beginning to end. We had plenty of space for all 10 of us. The beds were comfortable, the community space was plentiful and the neighborhood friendly. Easy access to route 1, the outlets and the beaches! Overall a great trip at a great home.

We really enjoyed our weekend at the Napping House! We loved biking around the area and appreciated plenty of bike storage on the lower deck. The kids loved the pool which is a short walk within the complex and the parents enjoyed the nice loungers and shaded areas to watch them from. The beds and sofas were all clean and comfortable and the dining area can definitely seat everyone at once. Our favorite thing after the beach was sitting on the deck for cocktails while the kids played the PS3 and foosball! Has some nice extras like board games, DVDs and puzzles. We hope to stay there again for another getaway!
