No shoes needed at “A Barefoot Retreat” in the lovely Shipyard section of the historic Truman Annex private community.

This two-bedroom, one bath, second floor condo will feel like your own tropical home the minute you walk through the door. Take in the soothing blues and yellows of the living room, complete with a queen sleeper, two comfy chairs and large flat-screen TV.

Check out the restful bedrooms, one with a queen and the other with twins, perfect for a family (or can be converted to a king, if needed). Head to the gleaming kitchen to mix a Mojito and take a seat on the upper deck to enjoy the view of the surrounding lush landscape. Steps away is Truman Waterfront, which has a children’s splash park and a new amphitheater providing musical talent all year long. The locals’ favorite beach at Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park is a short bike ride – there you’ll find shady picnic areas, a small cafe and a great snorkeling spot! If you still have energy to spare, walk two blocks and dance to some great music at the infamous Green Parrot bar and then one more block to Duval Street, where you can grab a bite, see some island art in the galleries, or shop till you drop. And don’t miss the daily sunset celebration at Mallory Square. Head back home to relax in your island paradise and get some rest to explore another day!

Parking is limited to one parking space per unit and vehicles over 18’ long or 80” wide are not allowed on property. No large trucks, trailers, mobile homes, vans, campers or similar vehicles shall be parked in the Truman Annex. Motorcycles and scooters must be parked in the parking lot and not on sidewalks or porches. All vehicles parked within the community must either have a permanent parking sticker or a temporary parking pass (obtained at the Security Guardhouse). All others will be subject to ticketing and towing.
