Sweeping lawns, lush established grounds, scenic rural vistas and beautifully presented accommodation come together at this charming country home to create a spacious and characterful retreat in one of the most picturesque areas of this south western corner of Andalucía. Just a 10 minute drive away, via rural lanes, is the stunning hilltop town of Vejer de la Frontera, its dazzling white painted facades forming a striking outline across the hillside upon which it sits, whilst a short distance beyond are the long stretches of golden sands that fringe this pleasingly unspoilt coastline.

Having been used for many years as the owner’s principal residence, this is a property that exudes character, style and the individual charm and detail of a much loved home. Reminiscent of the owner’s native Provence, the chic interior displays a delightful fusion of pretty upholstery, traditional quarry tiled flooring and carefully selected furniture.

It is outside, amidst the wide lawns and colourful foliage, that the charm of Cortijo de Beatriz can be fully appreciated since these impressive grounds stretch out on all sides of the house to provide an expansive area of beautifully mature garden, where gently rolling lawns are dappled with the shade of olive trees and handsome palms.  As is so typical in an area with such strong equestrian traditions, a cobbled courtyard is lined on one side by the stables that would have originally housed the estate's horses.

It may be tempting not to venture away from such impressive grounds but should you feel the need to mingle with the locals, the narrow cobbled streets and ornate squares that criss-cross their way throughout the typical ‘pueblo blanco’ of Vejer de la Frontera are home to all amenities and some excellent restaurants, whilst the sandy beach of El Palmar is just 20 minutes away by car.

When the small party rate is paid, guests will have use of the principal double bedroom with en suite shower room, one twin bedroom and one of the ground floor bathrooms.  The other ground floor twin bedroom and bathroom will be unavailable.
