OFF-PEAK SPECIAL: Stay longer than the minimum number of nights and automatically receive a 10-25% Discount -

Every care has been taken to truly make this beautifully crafted log cabin 1 Of A Kind!

The logs on the main level are over 100 years old and were once part of a tobacco barn in Virginia. Poplar ceiling boards in the great room and the outside hemlock siding were reclaimed from a home just a couple miles away, and the twig trim on the stairway and outside decking is made from rhododendron laurel twigs cleared from the very land on which the cabin sits.

Enter the main level from the covered front porch with just one step up from the upper parking area. This level features a large living area with a stone, woodburning fireplace (limited firewood provided), leather couches, and a 40-inch satellite HDTV with DVD player. There is a half bath off the living room. Tasteful antique decorations throughout the home carry the theme of “antique meets modern” in this unique home.

Also on this level is a fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, marble countertops, handmade wormy chestnut cabinets created by a local craftsman, a beautiful tile floor, and a dining area. The outside deck awaits with comfortable wicker chairs, handmade porch light from an antique lantern, a porch swing, a gas grill, and a large hot tub - all with wonderful views of the farm and valley below along with the surrounding mountains. The deck is supported with strong natural locust logs and cedar beams from a nearby property.

The uppermost level features a large master suite with king bed with a skylight over it, a settee in front of an electric fireplace made especially for this room using an antique fireplace front, and a spacious private bathroom with 2-person scalloped edge jacuzzi tub set in a slate & chestnut surround and a separate shower.

The lowermost level is finished with locally milled pine and contains a large entertainment room with an intricately carved pool table and Tiffany-style light above, a leather sofa, and a 40-inch satellite HDTV. The second bedroom is on this level and has a queen bed and a full bathroom. Both this bathroom and the master bathroom's vanities were created just for this home using antique cabinets.

Conveniently located in Valle Crucis just 5 minutes from the historic Mast General store and the riverside community park, 12 minutes from Boone shopping and dining, 15 minutes from ASU, 17 minutes from Tweetsie Railroad, 20 minutes from Main Street Blowing Rock, Appalachian Ski Mountain, and Hawksnest Snow Tubing, 25 minutes to Sugar Mountain and 35-40 minutes to Ski Beech and Grandfather Mountain,

With so many custom touches truly setting this cabin apart from all the others, you are sure to fall in love with 1 Of A Kind.
