Region: Northumberland is a headycombination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: Best known for its castle, which was recently used as a location for Hogwarts School in the Harry Potter film series, Warkworth is a charming small village with a colourful history and an attractive 1200-year old church. The Percy Family, who also have a residence at Alnwick castle, acquired the castle in 1332. The village's main street is lined with Georgian and early Victorian houses with a good selection of galleries, antique shops, gift shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants - a browsers paradise and an ideal way to while away your time in this pretty part of the world.
